Multimedia Intern

Position Title: Multimedia Intern

Department: Marketing-Communications

Pay Grade: $15 per hour

Immediate Supervisor: Josh Planos, BBB VP of Marketing, Communications & PR

Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, flexible options available

We are looking for motivated, creative students with strong communication and videography skills and an interest in gaining professional knowledge and experience.

All BBB interns receive one-on-one mentorship, intern-specific programming and a meaningful work experience. Students will assist with marketing and communications-related tasks, including videography projects, social media content and strategy, internal and external programming, and public relations outreach efforts.

Students may work up to 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks on a flexible schedule; interns are encouraged to work no fewer than 10 weeks. Responsibilities will be adjusted according to intern’s time commitment to BBB and interest in aspects of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead BBB videography and creative project efforts.
  • Assist with the coordination and development of marketing video campaigns to build awareness and/or meet campaign goals.
  • Act as a traffic manager for BBB social media accounts, develop content as needed.
  • Assist with BBB events and programming efforts as needed.
  • Provide monthly insights, ideas and key findings from video and digital projects.
  • Understand and adhere to all BBB policies, laws and regulations applicable to role.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently taking classes toward a Bachelor’s degree in video broadcasting, marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to commute to BBB’s Omaha office.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects.
