Sandhills Ranch Internship Program

The Sandhills Ranch Internship Program will begin accepting applications on November 15, 2024, for the 2025 summer season.

The Sandhills Task Force is gearing up for another season of our highly anticipated and successful internships. We are looking for candidates interested in ranching, livestock production, and rangeland management. We've partnered with esteemed ranches in the Nebraska Sandhills to offer this opportunity to a few outstanding individuals. This is a summer-long, paid position that includes room and board and additional paid-for educational opportunities.

If you're passionate about agriculture, have a keen interest in ranching, and are eager to learn, we encourage you to apply. This internship will include hands-on experience, mentorship, and customized training based on education, knowledge, and interests. It is open to all individuals aged 19 years or older. The application deadline is January 15, 2025.

The Sandhills Task Force will serve as a facilitator to assist in matching interns with ranchers. The Sandhills Task Force will support the internship relationship in several ways, but ultimately, the internship is a relationship between the intern and the host ranch. Partial funding is provided by the Nebraska Environmental Trust and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
