Working Capital Fund Service Manager - OMS

This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

Duties

At the entry level of this position, you will:

  • Conduct Working Capital Fund (WCF) IT Service Management and IT Business Studies, monitor the assigned Agency IT services and the WCF Data Processing activities, and evaluate service performance to provide recommendations to Service Management Branch (SMB) and WCFD leadership to meet divisional objectives.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other specialists on routine project management issues; Assist in identifying and communicating project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support IT Technical Teams, Contracting Officer Representatives (COR), and WCF Accountants to ensure compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures, and architectures that establish the framework for the management of all WCF IT services and customer support applications.
  • Provide WCF customer support and services as in identifying conventional IT service delivery issues, conducting analyses, resolving service delivery problems, suggesting improvements, and making recommendations to management

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.  NOTE:  Career ladder promotions are not automatic, and all eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met in order to progress to the next grade level.

You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
