Part-Time Inside Sales Consultant

Job Summary
We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented Inside Sales Consultants to join our team. Inside Sales Consultants play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the government sector. This role provides hands-on experience in market research, proposal development, and lead generation. It is a commission-based consultancy opportunity for ambitious sales professionals, offering a 30% commission on earned gross profit (sales revenue minus cost of goods sold and expenses such as shipping, credit card processing, travel, and registration fees). Commissions are paid within two weeks after the company receives payment from customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Identify potential government contracts and business opportunities.
  • Lead Generation: Assist in sourcing and qualifying new business leads; communicate with suppliers to gather pricing information.
  • Bid Estimation: Support the development of bid estimates for submissions.
  • Price Comparison: Analyze supplier prices to secure optimal options, factoring in shipping, processing, and other expenses.
  • Price Negotiation: Negotiate supplier pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Strategic Analysis: Contribute to business strategy by providing insights and recommendations based on research findings.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest and proven experience in inside sales and business development
  • Awareness of cost-saving strategies and value creation
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and deadline management abilities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
