Technical Coordinator – Equipment & Services
The SOPREMA Technical Coordinator – Equipment & Services will provide support in the assembly, fabrication, training, repair service and support of the Mini Macaden, SOPRAJOINT Plus and Contractor Tool programs. This will be a ‘hands-on’ position within a program that will be adding new services and equipment as necessary.
The SOPREMA Technical Coordinator must be a self-starter and bring both initiative and ownership to the department’s physical appearance ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment always.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Identify and recommend new features, best practices, and innovations that can become part of the equipment and services department’s standard operating procedure
- Identifies incremental opportunities that could result in continued revenue generation and coordinate efforts internally to evaluate and execute
- Provides product training (warehouse/jobsite) as necessary
- Filling orders swiftly and accurately is essential
- Obtain and maintain OSHA certification
- Meets or exceeds annual department goals, as set by SOPREMA business initiatives
- Works diligently to maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet or exceed our standards
- Maintains a highly collaborative, can-do attitude as part of SOPREMA
- Knowledge of construction equipment and processes
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Warehouse fulfillment experience in a fast-paced, business-to-business work environment
- Pick, pack, and ship experience in a warehouse
- Ability/knowledge working with hand and power tools
- Experience within building supplies/materials industry is a plus
- Mechanically inclined
- Team player with the highest level of integrity
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience/willingness to be an active participant in a team environment and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- English-speaking proficiency required, bilingual skills a plus
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Salesforce.com preferred
- Forklift operators’ license/certificate ideal
- Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping portals is a plus
- Occasional travel may be required (Canada/United States)
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work in an office, warehouse and construction jobsite setting.
- Prolonged periods of standing on concrete.
- Daily work schedule may vary.
- Occasional travel to SOPREMA Canada.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse warehouse and access shelving units by stretching, squatting, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Climbing and descending stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures in the warehouse or on a jobsite.
- Occasional travel by plane and long car rides.
- Speaking to large groups.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via telephone, in person, video calls, and in writing.
