Digital Content Specialist

The Impact You Will Make

 

Everstory Partners is looking for a talented Digital Content Specialist with a passion for writing and a strong command of language to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be able to craft compelling and engaging content that resonates with our customers while upholding our brand values. You will play a crucial role in creating various external marketing assets and internal communication, including customer-facing print materials, guides, website articles, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, press releases and more. A strong understanding of SEO and the ability to write with sensitivity and precision are essential for this role.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Digital Content Specialist role serves as the voice of the brand on all external advertising communications, including print, digital, video and social materials distributed nationwide.
  • Develop clear, persuasive, and original copy for diverse marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and cross-function teams (corporate operations, sales, HR, etc.) to create and implement content strategies that align with our brand voice, marketing goals, and audience needs.
  • Conduct thorough research to ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry best practices. Ensure that content addresses the needs and concerns of our customers with empathy and respect.
  • Edit and proofread content to guarantee high-quality, error-free deliverables. Maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice across all content.
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone to effectively engage diverse demographic groups, ensuring content resonates with target audiences across various platforms.
  • Apply SEO best practices to all digital content to improve search engine rankings, drive traffic, and enhance online visibility.
  • Craft compelling press releases and manage press recovery efforts, ensuring timely and accurate communication to maintain and enhance the company’s public image.
  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging.
  • Stay informed about internal industry trends, general consumer trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our content strategies and execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience as a copywriter or in a similar role, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to create engaging and effective content.
  • Experience in the death care industry is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with SEO and digital marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong research abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Empathy, discretion, and an understanding of the sensitive nature of our services. A commitment to maintaining the highest level of professionalism and respect in all communications.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

  • On-site at Support Center, M-F required.
