Multicultural Services - Recruitment, Retention, and Success Graduate Assistant
Graduate assistants in the Multicultural Center assist in all areas of Center programming, Center hours coverage, and general support of the events and activities of the Multicultural Center. All assistants develop, with the Center Director, office hours, short-term and long-term goals, and specific tasks related to their specific position description and general support of the mission and purposes of the Center. The specific responsibilities of this position include (1.) Coordinating the college awareness program, Granted Access Project, including all aspects of planning and execution, and the Granted Access Project Mentor Program. The Granted Access Project Program provides a service to the local community and helps advance the University’s mission as it relates to Community Engagement and a Caring Community by providing services to an underrepresented population and promoting the attainment of higher education.
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Melinda Quinones for additional information if needed at quinones@kutztown.edu.
