EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Advanced PhD candidate (3rd year or above) in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Optical and Chemical Sensing, or a related field.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Are you passionate about solving problems? As part of our team, you will:
- Develop theoretical frameworks for modeling complex spectral phenomena
- Apply principles from spectroscopy to approximate full spectral signatures
- Explore the integration of physics-based models with data-driven approaches
- Contribute to research that could have a significant impact on real-world applications
- Gain hands-on experience in blending theoretical research with practical solutions
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A solid theoretical foundation in molecular spectroscopy, with an emphasis on UV-Vis and vibrational techniques
- Proficiency in computational modeling of spectral phenomena; familiarity with tools like Gaussian and GROMACS is preferred.
- Familiarity with chemical sensing principles and their applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus
