Architectural Designer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Makes initial thorough final drawings and details, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project using AutoDesk Revit software and AutoCad.
- Creates technical schematics and blueprints for the construction of structures
- Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Works under direction of architect/engineer/owner.
- Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired.
- Coordinates with other employees to obtain technical details, optimize designs, and resolve issues.
- Modifies and revises designs to make revisions.
- Writes additional instructions & comments and position them into technical drawings and blueprints.
- Uses computer assisted drafting software REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Must have Power User Level experience with REVIT and Advanced Level experience with AutoCAD

- Checking and cross-verifying information within drawings to assure continuity and proper designs.
- Superior knowledge of AutoCad (Advanced Level) and Revit (Power User Level)
- Ability to research information in company library or internet to assist in design problems and arriving at creative solutions.
- Degree preferred or Associate degree in drafting; and over five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be knowledgeable of the various methods of construction involved with commercial construction and renovation, industrial, residential, and insurance repairs.
- Must have experience preparing designs and drawings on projects ranging from $1,000.00 to $25,000,000.00 in size.
