Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineering Internship - Summer 2025
We are looking for an open-minded Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineering Intern to join this pursuit of engineering excellence within the built environment. Together we engineer the design journey.
This role includes the following responsibilities:
- Design of plumbing and fire protection systems under the guidance of a professional engineer including: domestic hot & cold water, drainage, natural gas systems and various types of fire protection systems.
- Perform system design calculations and analyze plumbing and fire protection system options under the guidance of a professional engineer with industry standard engineering and hydraulic calculation software.
- Review and learn relative building codes and standards.
- Prepare design documents including plumbing and fire protection systems in basis of design report, drawing (Revit).
- Coordinate work with architect and engineers of other disciplines.
- Manage personal tasks for technical accuracy and timely delivery for day to day liaison with Senior Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer.
The qualified candidate will have the following experiences:
- Working towards a degree in Mechanical/ Fire Protection Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Minimum of 2 years of academic experience within fire protection or mechanical engineering design.
