Development Coordinator
The de Paul School Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting all areas of the Development Office operations at the school, which include major gifts, annual fund, alumni relations, communications and social media, and corporate and foundation relations and community engagement. This position is primarily responsible for database management, development reporting, gift processing, data integrity, event management, digital and analog communications, and administrative duties. This position reports and receives direction from the Chief Development Officer.
- Maintain database, including constituent records, gift records, queries, mailings, and reports.
- Manage development operations, including mailings, records, and event logistics.
- Execute communications with various constituencies. Communication platforms include direct mail, email, and social media.
- Coordinate volunteer and development efforts for parents, major events, and fundraising.
The Development Coordinator is responsible for key areas of development. It is a fluid and active position, depending on the fundraising priorities of The de Paul School. The core responsibilities include:
- Data management/administrative tasks:
- Track, manage, and update philanthropic solicitations, pledges, and contributions.
- Create constituent reports and queries in Raiser’s Edge.
- Create and provide various reports in Raiser’s Edge related to benchmarking, goal setting, and reporting.
- Reconcile gifts monthly with Finance Office.
- Research and implement additional fundraising models that streamline communications.
- Attend Development Committee meetings; take minutes/notes.
- Communications:
- Prepare mailing data and materials such as acknowledgment letters, solicitations, and e-blasts and execute in a timely manner.
- Prepare solicitation letters and other communication forms for various constituencies, plan constituency solicitation periods, and collaborate with chairs of various constituency groups
- Support the school’s social media presence which includes developing, producing, and editing highly engaging and innovative communications and digital content that helps extend the school’s brand.
- Parents Association:
- Support Parents Association activities, including facilitating periodic meetings, coordinating volunteer opportunities, and collaborating with parents and families to cultivate involvement.
- Gala/special events:
- Support annual Gala event platforms and logistics, including set up and break down, attendance tracking, sponsorship benefits, silent auction, event website, volunteer supervision, and event reconciliation.
- Support other special events for donors and friends.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Development Officer.
