Marketing and Business Development Intern

Job Description: 

As a Marketing and Business Development Intern, you’ll be essential in supporting our growth through content creation, business development, and strategic marketing initiatives. This position is ideal for a student with a strong foundation in writing, a familiarity with AI and digital tools, and a proactive approach to learning in an independent remote environment. This internship will provide a comprehensive experience in content marketing, business development, and community engagement. You’ll gain hands-on experience with CRM systems, SEO, and social media strategies and learn best practices in talent acquisition and executive networking within the venture capital and healthcare industries. 

Key Responsibilities 

Content Creation & Marketing Support 

Create engaging content tailored to our primary audiences: companies, candidates, and venture capital (VC) firms. 

Draft messaging for newsletters, blog posts, and social media that reflects Venturous’ voice and mission. 

 

Social Media & LinkedIn Administration:   

Review and categorize social media content and write and design weekly LinkedIn posts. 

Admin the Company’s online group, draft posts, and invite key team members to foster community engagement. 

Audit online Facebook Community Group & support engagement  

Business Development Support 

 

CRM Management & Sales Funnel Education:   

Work from the company CRM tool and update client and candidate information and familiarize yourself with the sales funnel. 

Learn how to track metrics, assess the sales pipeline, and outline processes for lead generation and follow-up. 

 

Webinar and Course Development:   

Support webinar creation by organizing topics and identifying content blocks. 

Assist with the development of an executive education course in collaboration with a university partner. 

Conduct research to expand our potential leads with companies, candidates, and VCs 

 

Qualifications   

Superior writing skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences and formats. 

Familiarity and/or willingness to learn digital tools, including LinkedIn, Squarespace, Canva, Microsoft Online, ChatGPT, Facebook and others as requested. 

Understanding of AI and prompt engineering to enhance content generation. 

Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects independently. 

Hunger for learning and eager to build a body of work to accelerate career beyond graduation. 

Interest in healthcare, startups, and talent acquisition is a plus.
