The US Army Corps of Engineers is currently seeking an engineering technician to join our team.  In order to qualify for this position US Citizenships is Required.  

Duties

  • THIS IS A CAD TECHNICIAN POSITION REQUIRING THE UTILIZATION OF BENTLEY OPENROADS DESIGNER AND/OR AUTODESK CIVIL3D.
  • Directing development of detail design and contract drawings as guided by applicable A/E/C CAD and Graphics standards.
  • Producing complete general design and layout drawings, detail drawings, and quantity estimates for design of civil works engineering projects.
  • Analyzing and making preliminary study of civil engineering features of project from project reports, design criteria, and other available information.
  • Preparing site layouts of proposed facilities, taking into consideration such data as topography, locations of existing structures, availability of utilities, drainage, soil, and availability of materials.
  • Producing rough and finished grading plans considering surface drainage, adequate access and proper functional operation of the facilities.
  • Preparing quantity estimates to provide a basis for comparing economic features of various alternate schemes developed in connection with the feature(s) assigned
