Computer/Electrical Engineering Intern
Position Overview:
R/Seek is an innovative, early-stage venture focused on redefining the R/C vehicle industry. Our mission is to create an accessible, adaptive control system for R/C vehicles, especially designed for individuals with dyspraxia and other motor coordination challenges. R/Seek combines engineering and inclusivity to offer a unique experience that bridges the gap between entertainment and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Development: Design and implement the electrical systems, sensors, and control modules for Seeker’s R/C vehicles, ensuring robust functionality across diverse environments.
User Interface Integration: Develop and optimize interfaces for vehicle control to accommodate users with various motor abilities, ensuring intuitive and responsive handling.
Firmware and Software Development: Write and debug firmware to integrate sensors, motors, cameras, and communication modules, optimizing real-time responsiveness.
Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate functionality, durability, and user accessibility. Work closely with the team to iterate designs based on feedback and user testing.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams in mechanical design, robotics, and user experience to deliver cohesive, inclusive product solutions.
Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
Strong understanding of circuits and circuit theory.
Strong understanding of microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, Arduino, ESP32).
Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
Knowledge of sensor integration (IMUs, gyroscopes, accelerometers) and motor control.
Familiarity with PCB design and electrical schematic software (e.g., Altium, Eagle).
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and an enthusiasm for developing accessible tech solutions.
