Video Editor

Duties

Footage Organization and Management: 

  • Assist in organizing and cataloging video files, ensuring that all footage is properly labeled and accessible for editing. This includes creating project folders and maintaining an efficient workflow to streamline the editing process.

Editing and Assembly: 

  • Collaborate with the production team to edit video content using industry-standard software. This involves cutting and assembling raw footage, adding transitions, effects, and soundtracks to create cohesive and engaging videos that meet project specifications.

Feedback and Revisions: 

  • Participate in review sessions with producers and directors to receive feedback on edits. You will learn to implement changes based on constructive criticism, ensuring that the final product aligns with the creative vision and meets quality standards.

  • File Exporting and Compression: Learning how to export and compress video files for various platforms, including broadcast, web, and social media.
  • Time Management: Developing the ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly during post-production cycles for broadcast or online release.
  • Attention to Detail: Cultivating a keen eye for detail, ensuring the final edit is free from technical issues like audio imbalances, video glitches, or continuity errors.
