Math Tutor

Job Opening: Math Teacher

Location: 143-30 Cherry Ave, Flushing, NY 11355
Schedule: Six days a week

• Monday to Friday: 3 PM to 6 PM
• Saturday: 9:30 AM to 5 PM

We are looking for a passionate and experienced math teacher to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help students improve their math skills by using engaging, interactive, and creative teaching methods to support their academic growth.

Responsibilities:

• Present math lessons in a comprehensive, easy-to-understand way, using visual and audio tools to support learning.
• Provide individualized instruction to each student, encouraging interactive learning.
• Create and distribute educational materials (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.).
• Assess and record student progress, providing feedback and grades.
• Maintain an organized and tidy classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders, and participate in regular meetings.
• Plan and execute in-class and outdoor educational activities and events.
• Observe and understand student behavior and report any suspicions of neglect or abuse.
• Develop and enhance professional skills by attending seminars, conferences, and other learning opportunities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a teacher or tutor, with strong knowledge of teaching best practices and a commitment to following school policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
       • Familiarity with Common Core curriculum, SHSAT materials, and the math section of the SAT.
• Organized, responsible, and committed to teaching.
• Creative and energetic approach to education.
• Strong moral values and self-discipline.
• Degree in education or a related field.
