Story Editor + Cinematographer (Vol/Intern)

ABBA x ME is a story driven creative co. committed to intimacy with YHWH via fashion and media. We are preparing to launch a new video podcast series, this winter that centralizes how faith and the learned wisdom of God's character propels his saints to overcome fears.
Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor + Cinematographer (Chicagoland) to join our dynamic team on a volunteer basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for storytelling, and a keen eye eye-catching social media content. As a Editor + Cinematographer, you will be responsible for shooting and editing high quality video interviews for show's the second season.
Responsibilities:
- Shoot, frame, setup, and manage Black Magic cameras on day of shoot with owner
- Edit and assemble video footage for editing
- Select music, sound effects, and other audio elements to enhance the video
- Add visual effects and graphics as needed
- Ensure the final product meets the branded look that the rest of our series has
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth workflow
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, Cinematographer, or similar role
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., mainly Davinci Pro. But open to Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong understanding of video production techniques and storytelling
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Good at color grading and visual effects techniques
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
