About the role
Accelerant is a fast growing and leading edge equipment manufacturing startup. Our innovative IIoT automation equipment is the foundation on which our revolutionary Production as a Service platform is built on to support one of the fastest growing industries in the United States.
We are searching for a full-time Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to build, commission, and improve our flagship product, the PRO - robotic rolling machine. Our success depends on our innovative automation equipment and growing team of engineers.

Responsibilities:
 

  • 3D modeling & design of machine components
  • Creation of design and assembly instruction documentation
  • Vendor management
  • Equipment testing and commissioning
  • Track status of project progress and resources
  • Generate new design concepts and collect feedback from peers to execute the concept
  • Organize and present design documentation
  • Provide scheduled feedback to management on job status and resource allocation
  • Provide input for departmental process improvements for future projects
  • Represent company while interfacing with customers

Requirements:
 

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Evidence of exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Prior hands on mechanical experience
  • Autodesk Inventor experience preferred
  • Electro Mechanical experience preferred
  • PLC programming experience is a plus
  • Ability to work with, and lead others within a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible and able to stay open minded to environment at Accelerant Manufacturing
  • Driven, energetic, and willing to “get out of the box” with solutions and processes to advance Accelerant’s equipment manufacturing & machine commissioning
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Travel as needed: flexibility up to 50%
