Engineering Intern

Objective

Engineering interns are assigned to an employee mentor based on the company’s current need with consideration given to the candidate's technical background and interest. Your mentor will assign tasks that are project-oriented & meaningful to the department. They will help you to execute assignments and lead you as you develop new skills. We expect interns to take responsibility for tasks and allow them to experience a sense of personal accomplishment and contribution while acquiring knowledge of engineering and manufacturing. Interns get to experience corporate business culture and gain the communication and etiquette skills required to succeed in a professional environment.

 

Essential Functions

  • manufacturing and engineering support processes, 
  • problem analysis and resolution
  • engineering change management.
  • Documenting and implementation of processes for engineering and for production
  • Assist with manufacturing tasks 
  • Problem solving in engineering, management and/or production roles 

 

Competencies

  • Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office application
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Responsible and accountable to teammates
  • Has a desire and ability to learn
  • Organized and detail oriented

 

Requirements

  • Progress toward Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or technical field. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • Functional understanding of GD&T is a plus, but not required
