We are currently searching for a talented Intern to join and grow with our Civil team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

This Opportunity:

  • Participating in various phases of civil engineering projects from planning to construction
  • Supporting design, documentation, and bidding processes
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver quality solutions for communities
  • Engaging in on-the-job training and practical learning experiences

Essential Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Strong communication skills and team player mentality
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate field and office work
  • Must be local to Duluth Minnesota for onsite field work and being in the office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 suite
  • Previous exposure to civil engineering through coursework or internships
  • Ability to adapt to different project requirements and work environments
