
Agricultural Microbiologist
We are seeking a microbiologist/technician to join our team. We believe this opportunity can foster many professional relationships across the agricultural business and science landscape. The staff microbiologist would be responsible for testing product samples to ensure quality standards are met. Sample testing consist of measuring the concentration of Bradyrhizobium in the carrier media. The Agricultural Microbiologist will conduct research and experiments to study microorganisms in soil. This role involves laboratory work collaborating with agronomists, soil scientists, and other agricultural professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze soil, plant, and water samples to identify beneficial and harmful microorganisms.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate microbiological findings into agricultural practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and scientific papers on research findings.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in agricultural microbiology and related fields.
- Provide technical support and guidance to farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during research activities.
Qualifications:
- Willing to train for this role
- Strong knowledge of soil microbiology, plant-microbe interactions, and microbial ecology is a plus
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and microbial analysis methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with data analysis software and tools.
