Job purpose 

Performs and coordinates a variety of activities within Global Mobility at the BorgWarner Inc. World Headquarters. The position will be a key resource in support of both administration and project-based work within the Global Mobility team.   

 

Key responsibilities 

Prepares data analyses, week agendas and reports as needed including monthly dashboards and project trackers. 

Responsible for working with external tax consultants on all tax matters related to expatriate assignments, including hypothetical tax updates and tax equalizations. 

Updates employee Workday files regarding repayment agreements, assignment letters and immigration approvals. 

Updates immigration statuses and renewals monthly in our Human Resource Information System (Workday) and immigration vendor’s system; working with Global Mobility’s immigration specialist. 

Facilitates Global Mobility’s yearly communication plans. 

Initiates cost projections for international assignments. 

Performs repetitive monthly audits to ensure compliance. 

Coordinates invoice processing and quarterly report outs for mobility programs and immigration. 

Monitors / answers Global Mobility mailbox inquiries with the assistance of our Immigration Specialist. 

It is expected that the incumbent will develop expertise with the technological systems used by Global Mobility and act as the primary resource for administration of those systems.

Undergraduate student attending an accredited university with major emphasis in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 

Strong analytical skills 

Desire to work in a large global organization. 

Strong problem-solving skills 

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills 

Proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel skills 

Must be highly organized and detail oriented, attention to data integrity necessary.

Desire to work in a global role and interact with diverse cultures.
