Writing Tutor
The Parkside Academic Resource Center (PARC) is looking for Writing Tutors who can work independently one-on-one with Parkside students in tutoring sessions. The candidates selected will provide support and guidance to writing tutees in different stages of the writing and research process.
Requirements:
- Completed one semester of college level coursework
- Enrolled for credit at UW-Parkside
- Suggested cumulative GPA of at least a 2.8; priority consideration given to those with a 3.0 GPA.
- Received an A or B in course/s you wish to tutor

Responsibilities
- Tutor students in specific course material and/or skill areas, integrate study and learning strategies to promote independent learning.
- Make appropriate referrals to other campus resources
- Follow all procedures and policies set by the Parkside Academic Resource Center
- Report immediately to the PARC Manager when critical issue(s) arises
- Attend and participate in Tutor meetings as scheduled
- Work 4 – 15 hours per week
