The Property Management Division (PMD) is responsible for providing comprehensive facilities management through the capital and operating budget process. The Property Management Division falls within the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau and consists of three sections, the Facilities Section, the Fleet Section, and the Supply Section.


The Supply Section procures critical items and provides logistical support to all members of the Washington State Patrol.  This includes warehousing and issuing of commodities; purchasing of all equipment including Information Technology items, vehicles, uniforms, weapons, ammunitions, and badges; managing agency assets and conducting inventories; and processing agency surplus property. 

Duties

The Washington State Patrol provides critical public safety services in Washington State. The WSP Supply Section supports the agencies public safety mission by providing logistical  support to approximately 2,400 employees. This support includes procuring commodities, tracking agency assets and maintaining a warehouse with approximately $2 million in inventory of essential commodities including uniforms and ammunition. This position supervises three Warehouse Operator 3 positions. This position provides critical leadership in warehouse management. In order to advance the agencies mission this position requires an incumbent with superior planning, supervisory and organizational skills.
 
 Our new teammate will be able to:
 

  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements.
  • Implement and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping.
  • Assist with the outfitting of large groups of cadets and new employees.
  • Maintain accounts and reconciliations of physical inventories using manual and/or automated system; oversee disposal of surplus or excess property when required, maintains inventory levels in accordance with established guidelines to meet customer demands.
  • Operate various material handling equipment such as forklift trucks and pallet jacks manual or motorized.
  • When necessary train subordinates in warehouse activities.
  • Check, oversee and supervise the tracking of all incoming shipments and goods received; make proper entries into the inventory system database; responsible for receiving, checking, storing and shipping goods; industrial and mechanical office supplies to include communications equipment parts and components.
  • Possess knowledge of inventory systems and large scale stock control.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 
 

  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • Minimum two years' experience operating forklifts, light truck, hand truck, pallet jacks (manual and electric) and Dollies.
  • Must be able to physically relocate 50 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid, non-probationary, and current Washington State Driver’s license.
