Office Support Technician
The Human Resources Division (HRD) provides guidance, support, and expertise to the CDPH on recruitment, development, and retention of quality employees in order to fulfill the Department’s mission.
This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by providing administrative support to the Human Resources Division (HRD).
The Office Technician (OT) [Typing (T)] performs a variety of difficult clerical work including, but not limited to, reception, mail, filing, and sensitive or complex correspondence, while ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and correct formatting in accordance with CDPH guidelines. The OT (T) will also serve as the HRD Attendance Coordinator (AC) and prepare and process purchase and service orders.

1. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
2. Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
3. Ability to work independently and as a team
4. Ability to exercise good judgement
5. Knowledge of control agencies laws, rules, procedures, and resource manuals to complete complex assisgnments (e.g., phone inquires, memorandums, special projects, etc)
6. Knowledge of medern office methods and equipment, including experience with personal computers utilizing Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
