Intern, Vehicle Integration Engineering - NVH/BSR

Slate is a new US company exploring development in the electric vehicle space.
Salary: $20 to $25 per hour
Who we are looking for:
- An eager Intern to join our Vehicle Integration Engineering team for the Summer of 2025
- A desire to learn about Noise, Vibration and Harshness in vehicle testing
- A desire to learn about Buzz, Squeak and Rattle in vehicle testing
What you get to do:
- Assist in conducting NVH testing and data acquisition on Beta
- Analyze noise and vibration data to identify potential issues and suggest improvements
- Identify and root cause potential BSR (Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) issues on Beta vehicles by using lean/scrappy BSR test methods to perform testing at low/no cost.
- Work with Beta manufacturing team to implement solutions for NVH and BSR issues
- Assist in preparation of technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal reviews
- Support the development of NVH simulation model using Actran or similar software
- Maintain and organize NVH test equipment
What you bring to the team:
- 3rd or 4th year in college pursuing Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or MBA
- A team first and problem-solving mindset
- A desire to learn every day and find solutions for mechanical and electrical problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to travel to support Cold and Hot Environment Vehicle Testing
