Who We Are:
The Adult Substance Use Services team is seeking a qualified and experienced therapist to join our American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Level 1 Outpatient program. Our team is full of passionate and compassionate treatment professionals who care deeply about providing a non-judgmental space for individuals and families impacted by substance use.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Human Services; three years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts of normal and abnormal human behavior, personality development, family and group dynamics; considerable knowledge of and an ability to apply a variety of psychotherapeutic treatment techniques/modalities; adherence to basic ethics appropriate for a professional helping relationship; knowledge of mental health diagnoses, assessment, and/or psychological and educational testing; some knowledge of consultation program; considerable knowledge of psychosocial history development; very good interviewing and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Considerable knowledge and direct experience in the assessment and treatment of substance use disorders, trauma, and co-occurring mental health disorders is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Completes comprehensive needs assessments including the use of ASAM Criteria to determine diagnosis and treatment recommendations for individuals impacted by substance use, trauma and co-occuring mental health conditions.
• Utilizes evidence-based practices to facilitate individual therapy and group therapy services to a primary substance use and co-occurring population.
• Develops and monitors clinical treatment plans to address identified needs and goals for services.
• Provides case management and care coordination including routine collaboration with other treatment professionals and referring providers including PCPs, Community Corrections, Probation and Parole, and Department of Social Services.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation in to an Electronic Health Record in accordance with Licensure, DMAS, and CARF standards for practice.
• Performs other work as required.
