Family Support Project Specialist

The Center for Schools & Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for Family Support Project Specialist. 

 

This position will be responsible will be responsible for the support of program staffon the family support initiatives and will work closely with the Family Support and Community Engagement (FSCE) Director and Program Coordinators in their work on behalf of programs that serve children and families in Pennsylvania. This individual will assist agency staff with event planning, administrative tasks, communications, website and social media updates, reports and other products and services related to the contract deliverables contained in the Center for Schools and Communities (CSC) work statements.

  • Information Management
  • Liaison Support

 

Salary:  $47,900 -54,500 dependent on qualifications.  This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule.   Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

 

This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule which may allow for the opportunity to follow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Center for Schools and Communities office located in Camp Hill, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations.  In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, meetings and trainings may be required on days deemed as teleworking days.  Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met.  The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in education, social services, information sciences or a related fieldand minimum five (5) years of work‐related experience preferred; Will consider an Associate’s degree and minimumeight (8) yearsof work‐related experience; or a High School Diploma/ equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and minimum 13 years full time work‐related experience required.
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of internal and external clients and processes to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Advanced computerskills required, such as proficiency in Microsoft 365 products.
  • Advanced skillsin Zoom such as settingup registration, addingpolling questions, opening the room, creating breakout sessions and using the Zoom Interpretation feature.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to completecomplex projects in an efficientand effective manner.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positiverelationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellentwritten and verbalcommunication and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent researchskills, utilizing the internet as well as print and other sources.Proficiency in the use of appropriate technology to carry out assigned duties efficiently, as described above.
  • Experience in group processes, public relations and conflict resolution is desirable and the ability to work successfully with people from diverse cultures and experiences.
  • Ability to keep up‐to‐date technically and apply new knowledgeto your job. Includes adapting to and mastering new system applications and processes as implemented.
