Makerstudio Student Assistant

Our Makerstudio student assistants are known for providing exceptional customer service as representatives of the creative aspect of the library.
Makerstudio Student Assistant’s three primary job responsibilities include:
- Processing Makerstudio submissions and assisting patrons with projects.
- Maintaining the Makerstudio equipment, keeping track of supplies, organizing, cleaning, ect.
- Helping make the Makerstudio a fun, welcoming place.
As a student assistant in the Makerstudio, you will perform the following duties:
- Process 3D print and poster requests.
- Provide patrons with assistance and information on the creative services and tools we offer.
- Maintain Makerstudio equipment by cleaning, organizing, and troubleshooting problems within your capability.
- Provide exceptional customer service for all patrons who enter the Makerstudio.
- Perform Makerstudio opening and closing procedures.
- Help prepare for and host special events whenever the Makerstudio holds them.
- Keep track of Makerstudio statistics, including 3D prints, posters, and other information.
- Help with related tasks as needed.
All University of Akron student employees must meet the designated minimum standards as stated on the Student Employment Eligibility Chart. UA student employees must be 18 years or older at the time of their start date. Any approved remote work conducted by student employees MUST be performed within the state of Ohio.
