The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Los Angeles Air Force Base (El Segundo) is searching for a Developmental Ops Research Analyst, SSC/FMCC (GS-1515-7 target 12).
Description:
We are recruiting for positions across Space Systems Command, which is an entity of the new branch of the military, the U.S. Space Force, specifically for our Los Angeles Air Force Base location in El Segundo, CA. The opportunities listed are for our Junior Operations Research Analyst. In support of the Space Force's most technically advanced systems, these positions have the responsibility to:
Conduct research projects;
Lead data collections and data normalization;
Perform regression, statistical, and trend analysis;
Utilize mathematical techniques;
Monitor and report contract performance;
Forecast schedule requirements;
Provide data driven decision support
Ideal Candidate:
Employee must meet Core Certification Standards for training and/or education and experience required for certification at Level 2 for this career field within 24 months of assignment to position
This position has Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Educational Requirements for Business, Cost Estimating: Baccalaureate degree in engineering, statistics, or other Math intensive field of study.
03 semester credit hours from a calculus course
21 semester credit hours in any combination of the following fields of study: operations research, economics, mathematics, chemistry, physics or other sciences where the utilization of advanced mathematical skills in geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and/or quantitative analysis
Requirements:
1. Must be a U.S Citizen.
2. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
3. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
4. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
5. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
6. This position is eligible for telework 2-4 days a pay period.
7. PCS / Relocation Incentive funding is available.
