Accelerated District Manager Program

Accelerated District Manager Rotational MAX Program 

 

Take 5 Oil Change has an opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and join our growing team! Take 5 Oil Change has a new opportunity for eager college graduates, newly exiting military, or military veterans seeking to accelerate their career into a leadership role. Our MAX (Manager Accelerated Experience) Program aims to accelerate your career growth in one year, taking you from a shop manager to a District Manager with a series of hands-on training experiences to prepare you to run your own Take 5 Oil Change District.  

 

This journey begins with an intensive training program over several months as a Shop Manager, learning the foundational, functional, and leadership skills required to run a shop, with the goal to graduate from the District Manager Training Program and be promoted to a District Manager within 12 months.  

Role and Responsibilities 

Phase 1: Shop Operations & Leadership Training 

2 weeks at our Charlotte Headquarters learning about Driven Brands, Orientation, Business Acumen, & Leadership. 

1 week classroom training. 

1 week training at a T5OC Shop. 

11 weeks in-shop training at a selected T5OC Shop near you. 

 

Phase 2: Shop Management Training 

24 weeks spent in a Shop Manager role covering two quarter cycles. 

1-2 of those weeks will be shadowing a top District Manager.  

 

Phase 3: District Manager Training 

1 week spent at our Charlotte HQ attending our District Manager in Training workshop​. 

2-6 weeks shadowing a District Manager aligned with Training Tues​days. 

4 weeks shadowing a Regional District Operations manager. 

 

Phase 4: Acting District Manager 

12 weeks running a mini district for a complete quarter. 

12th week attending District Manager graduation in Charlotte​. 

 

As a Take 5 Oil Change Shop Manager you will be responsible for:  

Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, & training new crew members. 

Creating crew schedules & submitting payroll. 

Controlling inventory with quarterly and yearly inventory counts. 

Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory. 

Understanding the shop’s financials and KPIs to drive results and utilize budget wisely. 

Conducting quarterly employee evaluations. 

Supporting crew members with daily duties. 

Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and performing other auto services.  

Providing excellent customer service. 

As a Take 5 Oil Change District Manager you will be responsible for:  

Managing and overseeing multiple locations within the designated district. 

Ensuring all locations are staffed with competent and well-trained employees who deliver exceptional customer service. 

Implementing and enforcing standard operating procedures to maintain consistency in service quality and operational efficiency. 

Conducting regular audits of location operations to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures. 

Developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase customer traffic and revenue growth. 

Providing leadership and mentorship to location managers and staff to promote a positive work environment and foster employee development. 

Monitoring and analyzing financial performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop plans to increase profitability. 

Ensuring all locations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations governing the industry. 

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience  

Bachelor's degree OR newly exiting Military or Military Veterans.  

Experience leading or mentoring others.  

Experience using data to analyze business finances and trends then enacting action plans. 

Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

Ability to relocate once the program has completed for your assigned Take 5 Oil Change district. Relocation will be provided.  

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to travel within the district and occasionally outside of the district as needed. Overnight travel may be required. Travel is reimbursed.  

 

Physical Requirements  

Must be willing to:  

Lift up to fifty (50) pounds. 

Maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars. 

Walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning. 

Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Hot & cold weather conditions if necessary.  

Have reliable transportation to and from work.
