Assistant Civil Engineer
We're Hiring an Assistant Civil Engineer in our Traffic & Transportation Department!
Salary Range: $73,000 – $116,800
Hybrid Work Schedule Available (1 day in office)
🚦 Assistant Civil Engineer – Traffic & Transportation
We are looking for someone who is interested and has knowledge of traffic and transportation and is looking for an opportunity to use skills in support of that interest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and design of traffic and active transportation facilities
- Preparation of high quality studies, reports, and analyses
- Contribute to the production of high-quality, accurate, and comprehensive design drawings, cost estimates, and other project deliverables
- Preparation of traffic impact studies, Vehicle Miles ravel (VMT) analysis
- Contributing to the development of design plans and specifications, cost estimates, and design details for construction
documents for traffic signal, signing & striping, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities - Contributing to the design or redesign of roadways to follow complete street principles
Requirements
• Ability to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using CAD software
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• EIT preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Civil 3D a plus
• Working knowledge of planning and construction documents
• Excellent technical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on several concurrent projects
• Ability to read, understand, and adapt to local agency standards and communicate with agencies and clients directly and effectively
