The Laboratory Technician 2 (Lab Support – Purchasing) is a full-time permanent position, there is NOT an option for remote or hybrid work for this position, this position follows a Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM work schedule. This position is in Wilsonville, Oregon.
What you’ll be doing
Laboratory Technician 2 (Lab Support – Purchasing) One of our openings focuses on Laboratory Support. This position will order lab supplies for inventory maintenance and staff requests to assure ability to meet analytical needs.
Performs QC checks on quality critical supplies received to verify required parameters met and are fit for purpose.
Stocks supplies as orders are received and/or released for use.
Enters data into appropriate databases related to task, ie. critical supply database, chemical inventory, etc.
Maintains lists of acceptable vendors and performs annual review.
Maintains supply inventories.

What are we looking for?
To Qualify for the Position, You Need:
Two years of experience performing routine, standardized analytical tests and laboratory procedures in accordance with well-defined written instructions AND high school courses in chemistry, biology, mathematics, or any course which included laboratory work.
Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
An Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science may substitute for one year of the required experience
A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Some walking & heavy lifting no more than 30 LB maybe required.

Excellent attention to detail
Ability to remain objective and analyze a problem from multiple angles before coming to a conclusion.
Great communication skills including verbal communication with both technical, and non-technical customers.
Has experience ordering supplies and working with different type of vendors
Has some experience purchasing/ordering/receiving supplies
Has worked with an inventory database
Ability to build relationships with customers through intentional engagement.
Focus on providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.
