School Psychologist

Position: School Psychologist

Location: Mason Public Schools / In-Person

Reports to: Special Education Director

Qualifications Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Education Psychology or School Psychology
  • Michigan Department of Education approval as a school psychologist

Qualifications Desired:

  • Knowledge of state and federal mandates that relate to the evaluation and identification of students with disabilities
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and report quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong understanding in Multi-Tiered-Systems-of-Support (MTSS)
  • Experience with data based decision models for continuous improvement and/or intervention planning
  • Expertise in assessment including curriculum based measurement and diagnostic practices
  • Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with students, parents, and staff members
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Possess technology knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge and Experience with Behavioral Analysis including Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans. 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: 

  • This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking. 
  • The position requires occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day.
  • Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with some travel to other schools or field trip locations.


Work Year & Salary: $43,510 - $87,651 annually Per the MDMEA Agreement 

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, long- term disability, retirement, and paid time off per the bargaining unit contract
