Backcountry Trails Corpsmember CCC

Hello!

Camping out 5 months straight in a National Park or Forest doing trail work with a well-connected crew, bathing in rivers and lakes, might be a dream for some and shock for others.

Fortunately, I’m here to bring clarity to any questions, concerns, and misconceptions you might have about a unique program that has been going on for 45 years:

The Backcountry Trails Program, a special project of the California Conservation Corps.

This is a once in lifetime Americorps opportunity and I wanted to invite you to an info session all about the Backcountry Trails Program.   A program where you can save up money, learn professional technical skills, push your body to its fullest potential, and earn an education award.  All while living in Backcountry settings like Yosemite, Kings Canyon, or the Klamath National Forest.

This is an immersive experience into the National Park and Forest Service systems, that for many has been a gateway into professional careers such construction, fire fighting, search and rescue, leadership, and biology crews.  It is a great opportunity to network and collaborate a long side professionals in a backcountry setting.

I’ll be sharing a wealth of information about what it is like to do the program, including history, photos, and benefits.  I will even stick around after my presentation to answer all of your questions.

Here is the sign up!  Pick your date! Or let me know if you can’t make it; I can send a link to one of our sessions in late November or December!
