Network Security Engineer Internship (Summer 2025)

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

Position Purpose:

This intern will be working on and supporting multiple networking security projects for the Network Security Controls Team. This person will help analyze data and learn how automation can make our processes more efficient.

Duties:

  • Work with our customers and gain hands-on experience and exposure into network support activities
  • Work on network infrastructures that deliver business solutions and technology solutions from data, security, and networking
  • Interact with customers, learn how to plan, design, deploy and optimize Security Solution while acquiring the technical and consultative skills required

Skills:

  • Basic Networking (Routing and Switching)
  • Experience with network security technologies (ex., Firewalls, proxy, and DNS environments)
  • Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • You are collaborative and not afraid to ask questions
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Analytical mindset and can pick up things quickly

Experience/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $18-26 per hour
