As a Campus Ambassador, you will join Worldpacker’s Business Development Team and sell Epic Trips on campus.
This is definitely not your average 9-5 job! As a Campus Ambassador, you'll be empowered to develop and deliver tailor-made sales & marketing plans to win our target group in the most relevant way thanks to your in-depth local knowledge.
You will present the product in classes, reach out to professors and clubs, understand requirements, and come up with product improvements to fit University students’ needs.
Objectives of this role
- Increase the # of Epic Trips sales by conducting presentations/meetups/events on Yale’s campus. However, this position is not limited to 1 campus.
- Develop a deep understanding of our Use Cases and objectively define what a Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) is;
- Gain requirements needed to secure a formal partnership with the University (Career Service Department, Global Affairs office, Student Abroad, etc)
- Think outside the box and present ideas in weekly meetings with the common goal of spreading the word of International Travel with Epic Trips for students around campus.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs
- Qualify leads (Interested travelers) and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities within campus
- Map and overcome objections to travel to close prospective student travelers
- Record and provide detailed updates for each customer interaction in our CRM
- Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook
- Perform outreach to directors, professors, departments, clubs, and within events to secure partnerships within the Campus.
Key Performance Indicators
- Identify 5 potential opportunities every week to sell Epic Trips at Yale. This may include clubs, student abroad offices, career fairs, classrooms, meetups, sororities, departments, events, etc;
- Map the low-hanging opportunities and learn about all needed requirements to have the Epic Trips accredited/endorsed;
- Earnings start on day 1, so make it happen as soon as possible to max your earnings. (ex: 50 sales = $4,000)
- Goal of 10 sales/month and 4 confirmed meetings with prospects/partnership opportunities/week (after initial ramping period)
Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of our cultural exchange, sales expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Candidates must have strong relational ties and connections to a home University.
- Prior sales experience is a plus;
- Ability to work independently, ensure business objectives are met, and able to drive tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines
- Both a self-starter and team player with great energy, drive, and creativity
- Be curious, have a desire to learn and master things by experimenting constantly
- Spotless communication skills in the languages needed for the market you’ll be assisting (English)
- Ability to present ideas concisely, with creative and robust writing style. At the end of the day, we are a passionate team of traveling entrepreneurs coming together to help others travel the world.
- Ability to rely on data to enhance decision-making.
Compensation
- Worldpackers will pay a US$800 monthly stipend;
- Worldpackers will pay a US$80 commission per converted lead (completed purchase) *uncapped commissions with unlimited earning potential
- The Campus Ambassador will work as an independent contractor, and he/she agrees to provide the Identification Number and Certification (W9 Form) or the Foreign Tax Residency Certification (W8-BEN Form).

- Flexibility and Remote Work: This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while connecting with a global team
- Career Growth opportunities: As a key member of the sales team, you’ll have opportunities to grow within Worldpackers, with potential paths into senior sales, account management, or BD roles
- The Campus Ambassador will be able to keep track of his/her conversions daily;
- Payments will be made once a month, until the 10th day of each month, regarding the previous month's results;
- Payments will be made via PayPal. The Campus Ambassador is responsible for any transfer fees and taxes;
