The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Blue Ridge Regional Office, is seeking a qualified candidate to review routine permit applications and permit related operation and design submittals for applicability and completeness; to evaluate air pollution control technologies; to develop engineering calculations and write enforceable permits for issuance in a timely manner, which are technically and procedurally accurate in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, written policies, and procedures; to provide recommendations and support for approval of plans, specifications and other value engineering documents; to provide technical support for permit-related compliance and enforcement actions by working with stakeholders (applicants, DEQ Compliance and Enforcement staff, and the public) to resolve issues efficiently, openly, fairly and consistently.  Hiring Range: $56,051 - $80,417.   For more information and how to apply visit Search Page (virginia.gov) on or before the closing date, November 11, 2024, 11:55 p.m., EST.
