Tax Intern
As the Tax Spring (January – April) Intern, you’ll assist the tax and finance teams with all aspects of Authentic’s tax compliance, provision, audit, and planning matters. You’ll partner cross-functionally with internal colleagues and external advisors to facilitate timely and efficient compliance, mitigate risk, and implement strategic planning.
What You'll Be Working on:
- Assist team with tax compliance, audit, and provision files.
- Collate tax notices and assist team with tracking amounts due and payments.
- Assist team with preparation and maintenance of Excel schedules tracking federal, state, and foreign tax filings.
- Organize research materials supporting tax planning and audit positions.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to compile required accounting, business, and financial documentation to support tax-related positions
Must Haves:
- Currently enrolled university student
- Accounting, Finance, or related major with minimum 3.0 GPA
- Available to work up to 20 hours per week
- Able to work onsite in our NYC office
- Willingness to get your hands dirty and make things happen.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortability in a high-paced, collaborative environment
- Detail oriented
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills and competencies to need to utilize financial automation software and tools
- Process-driven and constantly looking for ways to streamline and simplify complex tasks
- Able to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Highly organized, intellectually curious, collaborative, adaptable, and committed to professional excellence
Primary Location Salary Range:
The hourly rate for an undergraduate student intern in New York, NY, is $17.
The hourly rate for a graduate student intern in New York, NY, is $20.
