SALARY: $36,682 - $50,438

The Challenge

Looking to launch your professional career?  Join the NCDMV Motor Vehicle Professionals (MVP) program. MVP is an opportunity for recent graduates with a passion for transportation, public service, and the leadership to explore and make an impact at NCDMV.

You will be a key player working on mission-critical projects/programs and gaining experience in our industry-leading initiatives, operations, and management on our Vehicle Services Director's Office team that oversees and manages critical and complex statewide DMV programs.  This 18-month full-time role comes with a salary and full State benefits from Day 1. You will have the opportunity to explore leadership opportunities and projects in several NCDMV units, including Business Services, the Commissioner’s Office, Customer Compliance, Driver Services, License and Theft, Training and Development, Safety, and Vehicle Services. We are looking for highly motivated emerging professionals skilled in business, public relations, and administrative leadership.

As an MVP professional, you will:

  • Assist with License Plate Agency (LPA) oversight.
  • Review Online Dealer contracts for processing.
  • Learn to inspect documents, process, and issue title and registration documents, and have excellent cash handling skills.
  • Learn and apply NC General Statutes, Federal and State guidelines, and NCDMV policy and procedures.
  • Travel to field offices as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Management Prefers

Candidates with experience:

  • Explaining & interpreting policies, regulations, & programs.
  • Balancing a cash drawer.
