West Herr Summer 2025 Internship Experience
The West Herr Summer 2025 Internship Experience will provide students with experiential learning placements working alongside industry professionals in real-life situations. In addition, intern cohorts will participate in professional development and skills training to further enhance career readiness capabilities. Interns are paid but may also pursue academic credit from their college or university. The successful completion of a West Herr Internship Experience could lead to permanent employment.
Placements: A limited number of intern placements are available in the following areas
- Sales
- Fixed Operations
- Accounting
- Marketing
- Information Technology
- Human Resources
- Finance & Insurance (2nd tier – must first complete sales internship to be eligible)
Eligibility: Students who will be in their junior or senior year in Fall 2025 or recent college graduates are eligible to participate in the Summer 2025 Internship Experience.
For sales or fixed operations internships, students may be pursuing a degree in any field, however, business management or hospitality majors are preferred.
For internships in accounting, marketing, information technology or human resources, students must be pursuing a degree in a related major or have an ability to demonstrate proficiency through ample coursework or experience.
For internships in Finance & Insurance (F&I), student must have first completed the sales internship to be eligible for application during the subsequent year. For example, a sales intern during Summer 2025 would be eligible for an F&I internship during Summer 2026.
Work visa sponsorships are not offered.
Intern Commitment: The Summer 2025 internship is a full-time work experience (40 hours per week) beginning on June 2, 2025 for ten (10) weeks.
Location: Intern placements in sales, fixed operations and F&I will occur at West Herr dealerships located in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. Internship placements in accounting, marketing, information technology and human resources will occur in Buffalo only.
