Complete Omics Inc. is a venture-backed commercial-stage biotechnology company in the Baltimore, Maryland area. We develop and commercialize omics-based platforms and solutions for precision medicine, health monitoring and disease diagnostics.
Complete Omics has an immediate opening for a full-time Metabolomics Scientist position. We provide a comprehensive compensation package including salary and benefits such as paid time off.
Primary Responsibilities of the Position:
1. Participate in the development and commercialization of cutting-edge multi-omics assays
2. Perform data analysis with statistical and bioinformatics tools
3. Perform LC-MS analysis of metabolites and lipids in biological samples
4. Participate in the general lab and instrument maintenance
5. Document all experimental records, file reports, and be able to present recent findings in meetings
6. Write professional in order to publish papers in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or a related field is required.
2. Required to be a very fast learner and willing to learn new things every day
3. Required to be a highly motivated individual who is passionate about his/her work and has the self drive to accomplish the assigned tasks immediately
4. Required to have excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Basic understandings of mass spectrometers such as QE series from Thermo Scientific and QqQ series from Agilent is a strong plus.
6. Hands-on experience in biological sample preparation for proteomics profiling is a strong plus
7. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
8. Required to be eligible to legally work in the United States
