Description:
The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District, an award winning, Central Monmouth, K-8 school district with a tradition of excellence in education, is seeking a 12 Month Computer Technician for John I. Dawes Early Learning Center and Clark Mills School with the following qualifications: 

Qualifications: 

  • College degree, technical degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft certifications, preferred
  • Experience with school software, including Student Information Systems (SIS)
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Google Workspace and Chromebooks
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and creative-thinking skills in addressing computer-related issues
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to set priorities, plan and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with district technology initiatives and experience in education environments

 

Job Goal:
The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Technician to support the district’s technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and excellent customer service skills to assist administration, teachers, staff, and students with day-to-day technology needs.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Assembles, installs, maintains, and configures district computer hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, iPads, Chromebooks, printers, and other technology equipment.
  2. Diagnoses and repairs hardware, operating systems, software, and connectivity issues for district technology devices.
  3. Provides technical support for administration, staff, teachers, and students through the district’s Help Desk system, ensuring timely problem resolution.
  4. Supports district technology services such as email, Google Workspace, Student Information Systems (SIS), Cisco IP phones, Active Directory, and other software systems.
  5. Assists with maintaining the district's technology network, including network cabling, switches, access points, and other network devices.
  6. Creates and updates all network user accounts.
  7. Sets priorities, plans, and meets deadlines while working independently or as part of a team.
  8. Performs any other tasks or projects as assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee.


Terms of Employment:
Twelve Months
