Duties
The full performance duties of this position are:
- Serves as a financial technician for the Missouri Basin Region working with complex budgeting, accounting, and cost systems on hundreds of budget items and thousands of cost accounts.
- Works directly with Reclamation's Charge Card Coordinator to efficiently administer the program.
- Solicits, reviews, analyzes, creates, and issues bills for collection in accordance with various regulations, contracts and permits.
- Prepares payment vouchers in coordination with budget staff to ensure adequate funding is available.
- Works cooperatively with coworkers, teammates, customers and management to prepare recurring and special reports on assigned projects.
- Updates annual budget documents for use in reporting budgets to Congress.

You must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times will result in removal from the position.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in responsibility and scope to the GS-06 grade level in Federal service which includes experience assisting with monthly charge card reallocation; entering accounts receivable data into a budget system; and collecting data from automated budget systems for reporting and internal controls.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
