Project Management Intern

Internship Summary

The successful candidate will have a passion for managing projects and operational functions.  In this role, you will be responsible for assigned projects designed to offer exposure and experience in many functional areas including project management and process improvement. This is a 24-40 hour/week, hybrid role with the expectation of working in our Murfreesboro, TN office two days per week.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and proactively with Sales, Strategy, Design/Engineering and Production to identify and manage scope, constraints, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and deadlines
  • Support project managers in managing schedules and milestones, ensuring that project statuses are received from team members
  • Tracking and managing budgets
  • Own communication and status updates on progress (both internal and external), reporting relevant delays or issues and budget implications to relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitate meetings and reviews, distributing recaps to team members and project stakeholders identifying next steps and timing
  • Risk Management
    • Determine project priority with Account Directors and Project Managers
    • Assess and communicate risks & mitigation
  • Analyze and control inventory levels ensuring appropriate lead times, lowest cost and maximum inventory turns.
  • Time studies per customer sect for monitoring a lean structure for plant logistics/Manufacturing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree Program with a focus on Business, Information Technology or Marketing. Junior status preferred.
  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Proficient in using software applications, especially Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborates well in both one-on-one and teamwork settings
  • Ability to work on-site at least two days a week in our Milwaukee area office.

 

Certain peak periods may provide an opportunity for overtime. This is a paid position. The internship will run for 10 weeks (about 2 and a half months) from June to August. Exact dates flexible.
