Dates: June 14 – August 12, 2024
Compensation: $2,000 plus free housing, meals, staff uniform, laundry service, and transportation to/from the airport

Discover an Experience Like No Other
Every summer, we welcome passionate, independent, and caring young adults to live and learn in our community. We call them interns and camp counselors, but the kids call them friends.

Camp Weequahic is a traditional co-ed residential camp that offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience, make a real difference in the life of a child, and have a ton of fun while doing it. We’re currently looking for awesome staff to join our Outdoor Adventure Program, teaching activities like Archery, Open Fire Cooking, Climbing, Outdoor Living Skills, Marksmanship, Low Ropes, High Ropes, Nature, and Zip Lining.

This is an incredible opportunity, especially for Parks, Recreation, and Outdoors Majors, to get hands-on experience. Prior experience in these areas isn’t necessary—just come with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a love for the outdoors!

What You’ll Do:

• Participate in our Outdoor Adventure Program, leading campers through exciting outdoor activities that foster learning, growth, and fun.
• Encourage and support campers by being positive, thoughtful, and playful, ensuring they feel safe and included.
• Collaborate with our experienced Outdoor Adventure Director and Assistants, who have designed the program, to deliver engaging and meaningful experiences.
• Attend our free onsite ropes certification course during pre-staff training week and gain a qualification you can use beyond camp.
• Immerse yourself in the Camp Weequahic culture, doing whatever it takes to make this summer the best yet!
