FP&A Data Analytics Intern - Summer 2025

Position Overview:

The FP&A Data Analyst Intern will be a key partner to the global finance and business intelligence teams, supporting ongoing data-driven strategic analyses for various business units. This role will involve analyzing critical performance metrics (such as product line profitability, growth trends, and operational efficiencies), collaborating with business leaders to assess new initiatives, and supporting the execution of data-focused projects. The intern will gain hands-on experience in leveraging advanced analytics tools and methodologies to drive insights and actionable recommendations. This position is ideal for those interested in a structured, hypothesis-driven, “answer-first” approach to complex problem-solving—skills that mirror top-tier consulting frameworks and are highly applicable to business intelligence and data-driven strategy.

This position is based in Schiller Park, IL.  Temporary housing is not provided for this role.  

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Support data-driven analyses and reporting for Commercial, Finance, & Business Operations, focusing on key performance metrics to drive business value.
  • Leverage advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations that align with strategic business objectives.
  • Develop executive-level data visualizations and reports that simplify complex data sets, enabling clear and concise insights for senior leadership.
  • Actively engage in discussions with senior leaders, utilizing data insights to influence critical business decisions.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools and platforms to support regular reporting and ad hoc analysis, delivering valuable perspectives that inform high-level strategy.

 Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a STEM major, with a 3.5 GPA or above
  • Competent in basic or advanced Excel functions such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc
  • Basic Business Intelligence toolset experience, Power BI, Tableau, Reporting Services, or similar
  • Experience writing T-SQL syntax in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
  • Knowledge of Python or R and familiarity with ML concepts/algorithms
  • The ability to work in an agile and creative environment
  • Solid communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated individual with a passion for Data Analytics, follow-through, and continuous learning
