Full-Time Engineering Roles (SHPE Only)

Arconic is seeking a talented engineers for our various facilities. The incumbent will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations. The successful incumbent will support safety, restoring product flow, providing technical solutions to recurring design and process problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities. This person will also develop, manage, and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some process engineering support.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements. (This requirement only applies to Davenport, Massena, Lafayette, and certain positions within Arconic) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering, industry safety standards and related codes and specifications.
  • Understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
