What you will be doing:
- Learn about Synopsys’s diverse businesses (e.g. software, hardware, intellectual property).
- Assist the Internal Audit (IA) team with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404 process walkthroughs and testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Support the IA team with SOX flowchart updates and validation.
- Participate with the IA team on scheduled financial and operational audits.
- Develop skills related to auditing, internal controls, finance, and accounting.
The Team You'll Be Part Of:
The Internal Audit (“IA”) Department provides independent and objective assessments to identify existing and emerging risks within the Company. IA provides assurance and advisory services to ensure that internal controls are designed appropriately and operating effectively to ensure the reliability of financial reporting, effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience demonstrating problem solving.
- Must be currently enrolled in college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Preferred
- Accounting/Finance background preferred.
- Experience with MS products (Excel, Visio, etc.)
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $25.00-$38.00 per hour. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
