Under the general direction and guidance of the CALPIA Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Staff Services Manager II functions as the Fiscal Chief of the Budgeting and Financial Planning Section and is responsible for the supervision of professional staff. The incumbent oversees the more difficult or sensitive work associated with fiscal planning and the development and maintenance of California Prison Industry Authority’s (CALPIA’s) budget. CALPIA is a self-supporting state entity operating in a manner similar to the private sector.
This position is in Folsom when reporting to the office, near Folsom Lake, and offers free parking. Location is close to walking trails, Historic Folsom, eateries, and shopping. Position is eligible for hybrid telework (office-centered, 3 days minimum in office per week).
Monthly Salary: $7,643 -$ 9,496 AND state benefits for you and your family and CalPers retirement plan!

Desirable Qualifications:
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Supervisor/ Manager/ Lead Work Experience
- Work experience with CALPIA, State, and/or Private
- Budgeting: Budget, planning, forecasting, development and analysis
- Work experience developing budgetary policies and developing/ delivering budgetary training
- Work experience in the Preparation of Financial Reports, information, presentations, recommendations to management
- Work experience preparing Budgetary Board package documents
- Work experience communicating and presenting fiscal-related data to management
- Customer Service, Assisting Others, and Work Support experience
- Analyzing data work experience
- Degree with emphasis in Finance Related Major, Accounting (Fiscal), Mathematics
